My dog has been eating Spot Stew for the past four years or so. She really eats this stuff up. Not knowing that Spot Stew recently changed their bag size from 30 lbs to 28 lbs (bleh), I thought Amazon didn't sell this product with their Amazon Prime delivery so I went out to buy alternatives. Before Spot Stew, my dog ate up the dog food that was found in Three Dog Bakery. According to Three Dog, their food was made with high quality foods that a human could eat it. This was true because my dog ate this up... before Spot Stew, that is.
And that is the curse to giving your dog the best food you can buy. My dog won't eat the Three Dog Bakery food anymore. I first thought she was sick, then after 4 days of trying different things, we found out it was just because my dog is now a food princess. So Beware!

I don't buy things because of celebrity endorsements, and frankly I resisted buying this dog food because it was celebrity endorsed - I thought it was a gimmick. I was wrong to have waited so long to try it - It smelled delicious the moment we opened the bag. The are actual herbs in the food and you can see bits of veggies. My dog loved this food, and the cat eats it too, when he can get his paws on it. The best part of this is that it was the smoothest transition to a new food that we have ever made. In the past I have had to take up to a month to transition food. With Halo, my dog's stomach adjusted to the change over very nicely and at the end of a week she was eating 100% Halo Spot's stew, lamb recipe. I hope they always keep their quality as good as it is now- Thanks Halo!!

In a moment of economic dispair I purchased some "economy" dog food to get by til payday. Dumb Stupid move on my part, cruel move for my golden. within 2 days she was chewing patches of skin off her hind end in clumps 2 inches round. OMG I feel like the worst Mum ever!!!! Even returning to my original food did not help. I was home sick one day and watched an episode of Ellen. Next day, ordered Halo online. Took just a few days and the itching stopped and now the hair has regrown after 3 weeks on Halo dry. THANK YOU!!!!
