This review is from: IAMS Ocean Fish & Rice Proactive Health Dry Cat Food, 4-Pound Bags (Pack of 5) (Grocery) Our cats have traditionally lived between 18-22 years. We have been feeding them Iams forever. They enjoy the food and their waste is not overly stinky or big. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: IAMS Indoor Weight Control Hairball Care Proactive Health Dry Cat Food, 4-Pound Bags (Pack of 5) (Grocery) With 5 cats I need to buy cat food in bulk!! Having it delievered to the door is a absolute must, so I love the delivery of Amazon. Just switched cats to this food - females are weight ok but the males seem to eat too much so hope this will keep them trimmer. Have all long haired cats - and who likes hariballs coming up?? Not me. Have one cat show has been on this for year - and have not had hairball #1 out of her. Definitely recommend buying from Amazon - aLOT chaeper than any other place I have found. With this as her regular diet, she gained 3lbs in a year; my vet said this is a fattening food. I still give her individual pieces of kibble as "treats" but I feed her Blue Buffalo weight control now. The manufacturer commented on this review(What's this?) Posted on Sep 13, 2011 2:12:11 PM PDT Kateness: I am so glad your cat liked our food; but, I am sorry she gained weight. I am not sure if you free feed or portion control, but some cats, especially indoor cats that get little exercise, might need to be fed according to the feeding guidelines on the side of the bag. If that is how you were feeding, there are a variety of reasons, which we can discuss, that a cat might pick up unwanted weight. We do have weight control formulas available and would be happy to discuss them with you as well as have an "unwanted pounds," discussion with you. Please call our Consumer Care team at 877-546-9581. We are available from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Janet Permalink |
