After switching my dog from a food she was allergic to this line of food was strongly recommended from the pet store employee. The dog loved it, but for several weeks never adjusted from the change and had terrible troubles going to the bathroom (creating things impossible to pick up) and gas so bad it sent us onto the balcony to escape. After some research online these are common with this brand. I've known other dogs on Merrick foods who have been notorious room-clearing farty animals as well. I really cannot express how sick my dog was on this food.
There are several allergen-free diets similar to this one - we ended up on Wellness Core but there are many so shop around. I know the ingredients sound amazing, but trust me you don't want to put yourself (and your animal!) through this.
