Nature's Variety Instinct Chicken Formula Canned Cat Food

Comment: I have 5 cats. Maine Coons, Pixie Bob and a Scottish fold. The last two are geriatric in age and the Pixie Bob's coat was flakey and dull in spite of "high quality" cat foods I was feeding. (Evo to California Naturals.)
Anyhow, everyone is now not only shiny, but there is a lovely silky texture too. I also use the Instinct soft food and a Dental formula from the vet.

Comment: Going through Amazon may make dealing with Pet Food Direct all right, but my experience in dealing with them directly was not pleasant. They lost the order yet charged my credit card - twice. It took several unpleasant communications with them before I contested the charge through my credit card company. Because of their attitude and difficulty in getting this matter handled quickly, I won't do business with them - and won't buy Nature's Variety through Amazon. Nature's Variety is an EXCELLENT cat food!!!!!

Comment: This product may be healthy and good but please be aware that buying it from PETFOODIRECT is a mistake. They shipped an order out after refusing to combine shipping for 2 orders of this cat food and being told to cancel it. They confirmed it was canceled, lied about it despite giving me unequivocal confirmation it was canceled, then managed to send out via UPS even in light of telling UPS this would be refused. There are much better places to buy this food than PETFOODIRECT.

Comment: My cat is a former stray, though he clearly had a human at some point. He's FIV+ and has recurring respiratory problems. He took to this food right away, and his health (and fur coat) improved dramatically over the course of several months. He really loved his dry kibble, and as we all know, change is hard for cats and I was a little worried about switching both the BRAND and TYPE of food at the same time. But having done an enormous amount of research, I decided to feed him this. And within a few days, he was rejecting his old food. This food isn't cheap, but we owe it to our fuzzy ones to give them what they need to be healthy.

Comment: I'm in the process of switching my cat to a grain-free diet, and she has always been extremely picky so I was a little worried about it. She's taken immediately to this food, though; I still had some Friskies chicken food around and once she tried the good stuff, she turns her nose up at the Friskies. So we're both satisfied and will be trying new flavors soon!
