Product Description
It takes 12 months for a medium-size puppy to reach adult weight. This crucial growth stage requires a very-high-energy food that takes into account the underdeveloped digestive ability. A puppies digestive abilities develop slowly with age. Prebiotics such as fructo-oligosaccharides and mannan-oligosaccharides, beneficial fiber from beet pulp and insoluble minerals help make digestion easier for the MEDIUM puppys sensitive stomach. Nutrients like mannan-oligosaccharides and antioxidants (vitamins E and C, taurine and lutein) help support the puppy's natural immune system. High levels of EPA and DHA from anchovy oil promote the healthy development of the puppy's brain and nervous system. Specially balanced levels of calcium and phosphorus ensure optimal bone growth and healthy teeth. Available in 30 lbs.

We fed this to our bulldog when she was a puppy, and at first she did wonderful. Then the corn and preservatives took their toll.... She was itching and had a chronic ear infection and her face had a terrible yeasty smell ALL the time. She licked her paws constantly and scratched her face raw on any surface she could find. Then she started vomiting. We HAD to change her food. Now she eats a fully carnivorous raw diet and is thriving! No more itching, no more ear infections, no more yeast, no more paw licking.

My dogs love this food & do well on it,the quality & price are decent for the Royal Canin brand. The kibble is small enough for smaller breeds. I recommend this if you can't afford the pricier "breed specific" formulas. I hope Amazon can keep this size on hand for the price with free shipping. I will definately keep buying it!

I have two Australian Cattle Dogs VERY high energy breeds, I have tried all foods from solid gold to Canidae and have had mixed results with both of those foods,I have tried the regular Royal Canin medium breed and both of my medium sized dogs (50 lbs) seem to like the puppy food. There waste deposits seem to have gone down and there coats and behaviors have never been better (both on royal canin for 2 years), no vet bills, beautiful coats and best of all the dogs attitudes have never been better.
