I love this product! Royal Canin is on of the best out there but it is a bit pricey which is the only downfall. The small bits are easy to chew and my puppy loves it (: He is a bichon frise and pom mix! Since he is more of an indoor dog, this type of product was perfect! The best dog food out there is Blue Buffalo. Compare the ingredients and you will see why. However, extra small breeds cannot chew on Blue Buffalo early on in life unless it is moistened because Blue Buffalo kibble is bigger than Royal Canin kibble. If you have an extra small puppy, Royal Canin is your best bet to make sure they can chew and eat their food. In terms of quality, Royal Canin is your second best option. Royal Canin Indoor Puppy 27 or MINI Baby Dog Food 30 are the best for a dog that has trouble chewing because they are way smaller than any other kibble around. As soon as your puppy grows strong enough to chew tough, switch him to Blue Buffalo Small Breed Puppy Food. I only ordered one 2 lb bag of the dog food but they shipped and charged me for two 2 lb bags.
This would keep me from ordering again as I was getting a small bag in to see if the pups would like it and I would then order a larger bag. No way would I want to take a chance of receiving two of the large size. |
