Royal Canin MINI Puppy 33 Food is for small breed dogs (up to 20 pounds at adulthood) from 2 to 10 months of age. During the first months of life, the MINI puppy experiences exceptionally fast growth. His diet must completely satisfy several requirements, such as energy needs and digestibility. Royal Canin MINI Puppy 33 is specially formulated with nutrients like mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) may stimulate the production of antibodies and help boost the puppies natural defense system. Increased protein digestibility leads to better absorption of vital nutrients. Supplemental DHA supports early cerebral development. Kibble size is perfectly suited to the jaw size of the small breed puppy.

After unsucessfully trying vets recommended foods and resorting to even preparing baked fresh chicken breasts a clerk at Petco recommended this food. She claims this breed is the hardest to please and her sisters's Shih Tsu will only eat McDonald's hamburgers! She pointed out this dry dog food on her store shelf and my "Chewie" has been happy ever since.
