Sunseed SUNaturals - Guinea Pig Food - 2.75 lbs

I have had guinea pigs for years and this is the first pellet-type food that the guinea pigs really love. Our guinea pigs will ignore fresh vegetable treats like lettuce or carrots, things that they would normally eat first, in order to get to the SunSeed Sunaturals food. They have nice shiny coats, and seem to be thriving on it too.

I have two little Guinea Pigs that love this stuff. Until recently I thought guinea pigs would eat what you gave them. I had been buying Oxbow brands and a Kaytee feed, but nothing with colorful weird stuff. I was at Target one day and needed food. Since they didn't carry any of the foods I had been buying at big box pet store, I picked up the bag they did sell (Not Sunaturals). My GPs refused to eat it. I tried for a week before finally deciding to throw it out. I went back to their old brands until one day the big box pet store was sold out of all of my usual brands. I didn't want to, but I had to, pick out a new food (this time I did get Sunaturals.) So glad I did!!!!! They are crazy for Sunaturals. It smells sweet and well...yummy for a GP food.

The only problem I see with this food is that it appears to be Alfalfa based (first ingredient listed is Alfalfa Meal). This is good for babies and nursing GPs, but not regular adults. They need Timothy Hay based pellets. Too...Read more

My Guinea pig loves this food, I have tried other brands similar but they dont have the variety this has. Flowers, veggies, fruits and more. This is Nova's favorite. It has a good ratio of pellets to dried flowers, veggies, fruits, etc...
