My canary did start eating after a while. Pellets are yellow.
I was taken aback by a strong chemical smell when I opened the bag - like intense chewing gum. Reading the label, I find the source is orange oil.
My canary's pellet history:
Never having seen pellets before, he ate Pretty Bird pellets (for parakeets - multi-colored and larger) without hesitation on his own.
Does not eat (non-colored) Harrison pellets.
