Spiriulina is great to keep certain fish healthy and all of fish eats this diet which is great for their health. I mix it with blood worms, regular diet, brine shrimps. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Zoo Med Spirulina 20 Flake Fish Food, 2-Ounce (Misc.) I love my Cichlids. They are beautiful and feisty - a joy to watch. So I researched to find the best food for them.Of the eight different foods I have tried, this is their absolute favorite. When I drop the food in the water, they act like they are starving, even the often timid Blood Parrots. The quality of this food is superb - no fillers - and the very large flakes (2" squares) make it easier for my big Cichlids to eat. (See photo.) I buy in smaller quantities to keep the food fresh and the flakes from getting broken into pieces. Once they get too small, I give the container to my daughter for her community tank and I buy a fresh container. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The practical side of this is that if you feed these flakes to your fish and some of the flakes reach the bottom where the fish can't find them or don't feed, your inverts (if you have any) should quickly eat up the extra. No waste! These are especially helpful for my baby ramshorn snails and my pond (pouch) snails. The pond snails are technically an infestation that I didn't ask for, but they're so cool to watch (and impossible to eradicate) that I decided to keep them around. I've just gotten to the bottom of the four ounce can I ordered...er...when? I suppose if I can't remember when I ordered it I should by a new...Read more |
